Sorry I didn't update earlier. It was finals week at the college and I was busy studying and finishing up a few last minute things. Needless to say, I'm happy to be home after that busy week. My brain feels like mush...
The presentation of my capstone project to my client went swimmingly. There are a few things I need to update and re-do, but for the most part, my client was happy with the videos I presented him with. Once I get back to school in January, I'll have to do a little bit of editing and hand over the videos to my client.
I've learned quite a few things throughout the entire Capstone process. I've learned that I'm an independent, self-sufficient person and that I prefer to do things on my own. Everyone knows the old saying "If you want something done right, do it yourself..." Well, that saying applies to my attitude perfectly.
I've also learned what career paths I'd maybe like to take in the future. Out of all I had to do for this project, I enjoyed the video editing aspect the most. I enjoy being allowed to use my vision and creativity to create a finished product. I would personally like to persue a career where I am able to use my creativity, perhaps in the fields of sales, graphic design, or advertising. (I still have yet to figure my life out)
I've also learned that I work best as "a follower." I enjoy having clear directions as to what I should do and how. If I don't have set instructions, I feel as though I am lost and lacking confidence in my own skills. I feel as though I lack the proper people skills to be considered "a leader." I'm not an agressive "go-getter" : I never have been and I feel I never will be.
